Could be a cyst. May pop on its own.

What test kits are you using? You should be showing some nitrate.

Thanks for the update! My 1st fahaka lived to 19 & was great with most tankmates. My 2nd one killed anything in his tank.

I don't think ANY puffer would "thrive" in a community tank. They need special foods & are slow to get to it.

They don't appreciate being moved and sulk for quite some time on a hunger strike. Try live food, as this is what they are used to eating in the wild. Even when I moved mine from a 55-gallon to 125 (which I thought he would appreciate), he wouldn't eat for 2 weeks.
