Re: Help me choose a puffer to start with 🙏 🙏 🙏

[welcome] Which species of red eyes are you considering? There are many puffers with red eyes. The "Avocado" puffer is VERY active & needs a tank at least 2-3x larger than 10g. Although 15g is recommended to be best for a group of 6 Pea puffers, you could possibly add 3-4 in a 10g but ...

Re: Amazon puffers color

It would help if you fed them a diet of 90% snails or you're going to do a lot of teeth-trimming.

Not only the paint but the aerosol. I'm so sorry... Some fish are more sensitive to toxins than others. Try running fresh carbon.

Re: Pea Puffer foods and feeding on vacation?

Hi Sid, [welcome] I wouldn't be too concerned with snails, their teeth won't be an issue. I use a small Cuisinart to chop my fish foods into bite-sized pieces. Usually for earthworms, people shrimp & freeze-dried foods I buy from Amazon. Walmart sells an insect-based food in the aquarium dept. I...

Re: Mixing juvenile and adult pea puffers

They should be OK since it will be new to them all.
Be sure you have a heavily-decorated tank with many broken lines of sight.

I hope you have a cover for this one!
How exactly did you cycle the tank? Had you been testing the water after adding the puffer?

I'm so sorry to hear that! I see there is no sand. Was the tank cycled before you got the fish?

Re: New GSP Tank Help

[welcome] It looks good! To maintain the nitrifying bacteria bioload, you will have to feed it ammonia. I think with a single GSP, 30% WC weekly, should suffice. An airstone will produce salt spray & make a mess. The Aquaclear should agitate the surface well enough for O2 exchange. You would ben...
