They really don't appreciate being moved and sulk for quite some time on a hunger strike. Try live food, as that is what they are used to eating in the wild. Even when I moved mine from a 55 gallon to 125, which I thought he would appreciate, he wouldn't eat for 2 weeks.

They are fine without food, as long as they are healthy.
