Give him time to know that he is safe & I think you'll have your very own wet puppy in no time!

Re: New porcupine puffer with ich
Might as well treat the entire tank with the SW form of Ich-x.
Do you have lots of caves & swim-thrus for him to hide out in? In all my years of scuba diving, I rarely saw them out in the open during the daytime.

Re: HELP - Sick South American Puffers :(
Never raise the temps. Did you try the Ich-x in normal tropical temps?

Re: HELP - Sick South American Puffers :(
Why lower the temp? I would think that would stress the immune system more. Kanaplex is not helping? Did you use the Ich-x at full dosage?

Re: Red congo puffer
I had one that died 3 weeks after I purchased it. I cut it open and found a hard liver inside. It died of fatty liver disease probably because it was fed goldfish at the store I bought them from.

Re: Fahaka Puffers keep dying
I would definitely try a different source. No 1 food should be a staple in a fish's diet. How did they look when they died? What exactly were your water parameters?

It is possible she isn't thriving because they prefer to live in groups of 6 or more. All her diet consists of are snails? Try feeding bloodworms or blackworms to bulk her up.

Re: Dogface puffer tank size question
Wait until you move, have a cycled tank (it takes some time to set up a marine tank) & then buy your puffer.
