Re: Valentini Puffers
Your tank is beautiful!!! I wish I could afford a bigger tank but when I had the 55 it cost me so much it almost made me sick. But it was worth it, I would like to have a 125 but I can find one that someone is getting rid of. I miss my saltwater puffers and freshwater puffers just arent as fun :) It...

Re: Valentini Puffers
The live rock fell and caused it all to fall in a short period of time and cause the bottom to spider. I was out of town and was having someone watch the tank and they didnt see it and when I came back the tank was half empty and cold as ice. I just don't think live rock is very pretty thats why I d...

I have had a lot of luck with puffers and I want a Valentini they have always been my favorite but I could never find one. Now I have a 29 gallon tank that is just sitting there...

I know I hate that all he will eat is krill. But I have tried everything!!! And I have read the article but no luck and when I starve her fins start to become missing. I love her to pieces and I don't want to lose her and I don't want to force feed, I am doing that with a porc at work but its not wo...

Re: Sad Sad News
Well the tank is still empty except some shrimp just to see if I can have life in the tank. Thanks for the help I am going to keep the tank empty since I am gonna start another one with just corals later on so I am saving up for that, but I think it will have to wait till I move.

Re: Sad Sad News
I don't think anything lived the move. I know the puffer had ich but no one else did, and she actually got rid of it just before the move. I heard to leave the tank empty for 2 weeks and then if the levels are good then I can add fish. I already bought a porc to replace the one I lost since it wasn'...

Re: Sad Sad News
edmlfc1 I'm so sorry about your puffer, I know how hard you worked to save her :( . I bought the canister filter since my boss told me it was better. Thank you Nick for telling me that, but I had 2 filters running on my tank and everyone was fine so I think I will be ok. I don't mind doing water cha...

Re: Sad Sad News
OK so the water change had nothing to do with it. That makes me feel better, so next time how should I go about moving the tank? If I leave the sand alone will that help? I just don't want to mess it up next time. I really don't want to get a protein skimmer, I have talked to a lot of people and the...

Re: Sad Sad News
Do you think I shoudl just take some of the sand out? I think its about 2 inches, its not very deep. Next time when I move the tank should I just leave the sand in there with just a little water and move the tank on a board? I am gonna get a canister filter to put on there since I don't have a sump ...

Re: Sad Sad News
Its about 2-3 inches. I took the fish out before I moved the sand and I let the sand settle before adding the fish. I did have to do 20-30 gallon water change, even though I tried to take as much water as I could. I had a 5 gallon bucket with the sand in it then I had a 32 gallon tote full of live r...
