Re: Advice Needed Urgently

Really sorry to hear about your loss mate.
Are you staying with the fish keeping now.? Saw an add you posted on Aquarist classifieds selling your fish. Hope you have decided to stick with it despite everything.
All the best

Re: Advice Needed Urgently

I am so sorry to hear about this situation and i know that you obvoiously love your puffer. Have you considered Euthinasia for the poor thing? Is it suffering though? I don't know but i seems to be going on for some time and it may just put you both out of your misery. Didn't mean to come accross ho...

Re: Little MBU Don't do much swimming!!

My little MBU is settling in quite well now. I have treated the tank for ich for the last 10 days and the results have been great. The Mbu is feeding well, swimming much more and looks very happy. Today is the first day with no signs of ich and although i did a large water change yesterday i still h...

Re: Little MBU Don't do much swimming!!

Ok Thought i give some you who were interested an update. The temps are up to 86 and the aquarium salt is in the tank. I am doing water changes of around 40 - 50% every other day and am also syphon cleaning the substrate when i do the changes. The Mbu is doing well in the larger tank now as my large...

Re: Little MBU Don't do much swimming!!

Thanks flash dan, i think you maybe right that it is not ich. But i am not familiar with any other diseases of these types. You have said to keep an eye on it but do you know if there is anything i could or should do. I shall google cauliflower disease now and see what i can find out. Your advice is...

Re: Little MBU Don't do much swimming!!

I have noticed that since my little mbu has gone back into the larger tank with the other fish that he has begun to do better, however i have now noticed that the puffer has some small white spots on it. None of my other fish in this tank have any white spots. I have read that this may not be ich an...

Re: Little MBU Don't do much swimming!!

Thank you very much Puffertt77. It's really nice to have some reassurance that my mbu will be ok. I have moved him from the smaller tank and will see how he goes with my other fish in the larger tank again. I am on the case for a larger tank still but will need to give him a spell in one of my 4 foo...

Little MBU Don't do much swimming!!

Hi i have recently aquired a 3.5 inch Mbu Puffer. I did have him in a 4 foot tank to start with but i was concerned that my large oscar might pick on him ans she does with all my other fish. So i have moved him into a small 100 litre tank with loads of extra filtration, alone for a while until he ge...

Re: my mbu

Great little fella, i have just aquired a Mbu too and it is about 3.5 inches long total. It is feeding great and doing really well. I have it in a nice size smaller tank until it is bigger and large enough to go in to my biggest tank with my other fish.

Re: Questions about Palembangs

Hi. I think you are doing the right thing by waiting and finding the right puffer for your friends needs and exactly what you want. I have two great little Palembangs. They are real characters and i have great fun feeding them from the end of a line. They should grow to a good eight inches total and...

Re: New Palembang

Thanks for the support, the info and the interest.
I shall add some pics of the lads at the weekend and keep the site updated with everything as it happens.
Maybe my experiences will be useful to the other members and more Palembangs will become pets around the world!
Stay Tuned!!!!!!!
