Re: 2 New Little Fahaka puffers
You might want to read the story about breeding fahakas stickied in this forum. There is a bit in there on 2 kept with a divider. If they really want at each other, a divider will not stop them! Thanks, I will read the sticky. keeping them in the same tank together with a divider is something I pre...

Re: 2 New Little Fahaka puffers
Thanks dragonvet, I'll do an update every once in a while. Any ideas on how often to feed these guys when they are this small and how often they should get snails to keep their beaks in check?

Re: 2 New Little Fahaka puffers
Don't Fahakas need 125 gallons each? If so, then I can only wish I had tanks that fancy! ^_^ Not fancy tanks, just big tanks used tanks. Yep! Pufferpedia says 120G each since they grow to 18 inches each! The thing is, from what other members are saying they are pretty aggressive... don't know how l...

2 New Little Fahaka puffers
Well I just traded my Fangs puffer about 2.5-3 inches for a Fahaka and bought a second Fahaka. I’m somewhat new to puffers; better half has a 30gal dwarf puffer tank that I end up feeding and maintaining, which we have had for about 3 months now. I have other tanks and mainly deal with Cichlids and ...

Re: M. Cochinchinensis (Fangs Puffer)?
Thanks, just fed him market shrimp, instead of shredding the piece in half he swallowed it whole so he has a very full belly. He is currently in a floating container in my 40gal breeder, with a Florida/Spotted Gar. If I keep him I have several tanks he can go into. Thinking of trading him for a slig...

Re: M. Cochinchinensis (Fangs Puffer)?
Thanks Chin.
In the puffer pedia the Fangs Puffer is labeled as a Monotrete Conchinchinensis, is this correct or is Tetraodon cochinchinensis correct?
Also my assumption is this guy is pretty much maxed out in size?

M. Cochinchinensis (Fangs Puffer)?
Picked this guy up in the Bay Area (CA) and labeled as a Red Belly Puffer which I was not able to find on this site. He is about 2.5 to 3 inches long from nose to end of tail. The closes I could visibly match was the Fangs Puffer. :? Can you guys confirm this or suggest what he might be? Thank You. :D
