Re: New Porcupine Puffer

Going to keep it. There's sand and lots of rock in there now. It's been a month since any fish have been in there, and it's probably going to be another month before I get anything. In that time I've been/going to be doing water changes. Not too worried about it.

Re: New Porcupine Puffer

Ok long time since I've been on here, just an update. Well my porcupine puffer is doing great. It sits at the top of tank waiting for me to fed, even if it's not feeding time. It'll follow my finger around the tank, and I see why some call it a dog. But some things have come up, and I won't be able ...

Re: New Porcupine Puffer

Showdown of porc and sailfin.I think you might get some puffing action when those two meet. I'm going to try to avoid that. Like I said, I'm going to put my sailfin in QT at the same time I put my puffer in the 125g so hopefuly they puffer will be well used to his new tank by the time the sailfin c...

Re: New Porcupine Puffer

My emp broke up all the fights that happened in the tank between my sailfin and others. I have heard of quite a few people on RC who have the same problem with aggressive sailfins. Yeah they seem to be pretty aggressive. It used to be victim of my purple tang, and no it's gone so the Sailfin rules ...

Re: New Porcupine Puffer

Thanks for the compliments everyone. I'm very proud and glad of such a good recovery. Seems to be doing excellent and I think I hope he is this happy and healthy for many years to come. Now I just got to see how the 125g inhabitants are going to react to him. Well the king of the tank, the sailfin ...

Thanks guys, I am happy about it too. Can't believe I haven't lost one fish the past hetic month.

Too bad I lost a dog though. :( My beagle got hit by a truck and we had to put her down today, my birthday. Kinda sad. But my fish are doing great. Will take some pics over the weekend.

Ok got to look at the puffer today and seems to be doing realy good. It has so much more color now. I'm turning on the lights back to normal. I'm going to leave it in there for a couple more weeks then I'll add him to my 125g and get started on the next fish to QT.(Got a sailfin that has HLLE that I...

Re: New Porcupine Puffer

Ok Puffer Queen thanks for the advice. Unfortuanetly I was pulled to Florida for a week vacation and my dad left a little while later(last Thursday) for out of town. Last he checked the puffer was alive. We have a neighbor feeding, and I think my dad will give me updates on what's going on tomorrow ...

Re: New Porcupine Puffer

Yeah I sure do too. Today I'm at my mom's house, but I will be going to my dad's for a little while to finish re-re-setting my 125g up. Lots of good times with that tank. I'll also check up and give the puffer a dose of some hopefuly good medicine.

Re: New Porcupine Puffer

Well obviously the puffer isn't doing too good right now. I added a heater and hopefuly that'll push it up 80 or 82 degrees. I'm also going to get some medicine probably around noonish and come back and add some. I'll also do a 10% water change with DI water today.
