I'm curious about SAP's personalities... We've currently got dwarf puffers and for our next puffers, we're definitely wanting puffers with lots of personality. Our DP's will come up and look at us, and one will even follow us as we move from one side of the tank to the other. I'd like bigger puffers...

I forgot to mention, the other possibility for new puffers is GSP's or Figure 8's. There's a LFS that always seems to have them and they just look so cool! I've never had anything besides freshwater, so I'm not sure how hard brackish or saltwater are.

surrent? Do you mean current? And how hard is it to trim their teeth really? I've read the article on here about Puffer Dentistry and it doesn't sound like something I'd want to do. Knock out your fish and use a nail trimmer on them.

5 gallon would be a great size tank for one dwarf puffer, possibly two. Also, this varies puffer to puffer, but mine liked the shrimp dinner they got when I dropped in a couple ghost shrimp. They completely ignore the otos I got, so that's a good thing.

I'm not quite sure what you mean here. Are you talking about a quarantine tank in case one gets sick, or is there a chance they might start attacking one?

I took a closer look at my puffs. The iridescent scales are closer to blue than turquoise, and two of them have the shiny spots. Odd thing about this - I didn't think puffers actually had scales?
