Meet Luigi!

Re: Porcupine Puff Changing Colors...

They change depending on there mood, and the area where they were caught. Mine goes from the dark like yours to very light to for no particular reason. I personally prefer the darker color. The foods you are feeding her aren't really beneficial for her. Krill is known to cause lockjaw in puffers, es...

Re: Puffer Emergency Kit

I wouldn't recomend keeping to many meds on hand. Just Melafix/Pimafix, Salt, and anti parasite meds.
Most medications expire within a year so only keep what you need too.
Also make sure to always have a test kit on hand

Re: Can I keep together?

A small school of small anthias would work well too. Chances are if the fish are a lot smaller than the puffer he'd eat them.

Re: Substrate

Bagged live sand is normally all dead. Any sand can become live sand over time when it's exposed to live rock, or live sand bought from a store or local reefer.

Re: Hair Algae Help

If it's really long your best off just grabbing it and tearing it off. You might wanna bleach some decorations too.
There is a way to do a bleach dip on live plants.. you might want to look into that.

As long as the dragon wrasse is a nice size I'd say go for it.

Re: ***GSP's Staying Fat????****

They can go for a week without eating without a problem. It's perfectly normal for them to still have bellies after not eating for a few days.

Re: Porcupine with strange white formations on skin??

First off there is no need to curse, this is a family friendly website and there are posters as young as 12 here. Some people seem to have issues with puffers and the fixes. It seems to burn there skin. I'd recomend doinga 50% water change and adding clean water to help get as much of the pimafix ou...

Re: Please help with ID

Being a fakulatus would pretty much mean being a low grade. It's still probable that it;s spots could dissapear and become stripes like many young fahakas.
It could very well stay an awesome looking fish for its life too, but it's not a highquality/purebred (whichever you prefer) pustulatus.
