I would like to know what caused this, but I would rather more just leave him be. I already buried him.

When a puffer fills with water, what does it fill? Because he doesn't like the medicine but when he puffs up and fills with water it would be real easy to squirt the medicine in his mouth when he sucks in the water. But the water doesn't go to his stomach, right?

If you have him close to the surface and you offer some form of food, does he respond at all, or just completely ignore it?
He ignores it. I don't really want him to eat though because of the swollen 'organ'. I figure this gel can't really cause any bad effects, so hopefully it helps.

So sorry we can't be of more help. Did you look into a vet or university? I emailed a bunch of different university icthiology professors. Only one has emailed me back and he said: "This is a medical problem, not one of anatomy. You should contact a veterinarian immediately to get referrals to...

When ever I walk into the room he'll try to flip himself over and sometimes he can, sometimes he can't. But when he sees me and tries to flip over the lump w...

I don't think it would be a good idea to drop anything down his throat. There is already a blockage so the pea or epsom salt may not even get to where it is intended anyway. At this point, the only thing you should be doing is maintaining good water conditions, continuing to offer him food, and mon...
