I have a degree in animal science and currently work at a zoo. I can think of countless stories of animals at least doubling their life expectancy in captivity. Also an animal's demise in captivity is usually much more humane than what their wild counterparts face. There are very few animals in this...

weird white things...
i just noticed there are tiny white things crawling on the inside glass of my fahaka tank....they are oblong in shape....any ideas?

Since my mbu passed away from IPs...if I would put another puff in the tank he is in what are the chances of him picking up the IPs?

He isn't doing any better. He won't accept the food in anyway. I have run out of options. I am too scared to tube feed him. any remaing suggestions?

Ok.....so the latest is.....he will NOT whatsoever eat any food that has been soaked in the meds. any other way to get rid of the IPs?

so I am about to starting treating for IPs. i just received the Levamisole Hydrochloride in the mail and I have his shrimp soaking in it. the Metronidazole has not arrived yet and I am getting worried about him so I am going to give him a dose of the levamisole and see what happens. unfortunately all there mbus look very similar to this. he was definitely the worst looking. he still really doesn't seem to be putting weight on. His color seems to be alot better. i'm thinking internal parasites but i want him to become a little less stress and have some nutrition before i conside...
