Re: Feeding apple snails
I often feed large snails to my puffers. Just crack the shell a little bit by squeezing it with your fingers or pair of pliers and the puffer will do the rest of the work.

Re: Questions about Palembangs
Mine only comes out when he's hungry.... which isn't every day. Normally he just stays in his cave and peeks out once in a while.

Re: Monotrete Cochinchinensis
Great article. It was a fun read. I'll keep a better eye on my puffers from now on to try to read their emotions.

Re: My puffers + target IDs
Looks to me like #1 and #2 are both Abei. The #2 Abei seems a bit frightened. But judging from the color in his red spot, I am leaning toward Abei. #3 on the other hand is looking to me like a Cochinchinensis. I have on with a red spot and a thin black circle around the red spot. My other one can c...

Re: My puffers + target IDs
#1 Abei #2 Could be a washed out Abei but the snout theres something about it that is wrong, unsure at the moment. #3 Cochinchinensis or Turgidus, i'm leaning toward cochinchinensis at the moment. Thanks. #1 and #2 came from the same batch but the local fish store I bought them from didn't have a c...

Re: My puffers + target IDs
Wow, you have quite the amazing puffer collection. Beautiful pictures. I see your F8 is in a planted tank; at what salinity are you keeping it (if any)? It looks healthy, how long have you had it? Thanks! I only had the F8 for a couple months before giving it away and getting the abeis. It was kept...

Re: My puffers + target IDs
Thanks! I use a Canon EOS 30D.
I've always thought #3 was a cochinchinensis or turgidus but I know how difficult it is to id them. All of my puffers are in fresh water.

My puffers + target IDs
Hi, I've been around this forum for a while, absorbing as much info as possible but this is my first post. I'd like to show off my puffers and possibly get some id's on my targets if possible. 7" Palembang http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m126/ccimaging/Puffers/Palembang_12.jpg http://i103.ph...
