Re: MBU goes crazy
"That's just deflecting & ridiculous. If someone couldn't give their child a proper, healthy environment to live in, then they probably shouldn't have them." You do realise that there are millions of children born in the world that dont have a "proper and healthy environment to li...

Re: MBU goes crazy
So you are putting your puffer through, what sounds like great stress, to save a bit on the cost of heating it's tank? You shouldn't be keeping fish like this if you can't afford it. wow, what responses!! 1. Its not really an affordability issue here (tank size and only half full). I earn a good li...

Re: MBU goes crazy
Just a quick question, did you mean 130L or 130 gallons? No typo, its a 130L tank not gallon. I got it half full as well! Ive got a pretty decent external fluval filter and i do 40% weekly water changes so in terms of water quality, I think its OK (obviously not as good in the rivers of Africa of c...

Re: MBU goes crazy
When I feed mussles I just open the shell and throw it in there. My stars & stripes goes nuts when he see's the mussle, he splashes water & swims back and forth until I drop it in the tank. Actually he does this when he see's the cup I defrost his food in. He gets totally excited! But he do...

Do you dechlorinate your tap water when defrosting the food?

Re: MBU goes crazy
What size tank is he in? Does he seem to be hurting himself or is he fine? He may just be exited that he is being fed, if that is his favourite food. 1. I wouldn't have thought he would go crazy from eating too much. 2. I don't think you really need to break the shell up. That why you give them stu...

MBU goes crazy
Hi Iam new to this forum. I recently bought a 6 inch MBU puffer and I have been keeping it for about 2 months now. The fish is living on its own in the tank. The fish is healthy as far as I know but when I feed it, it sometimes (frozen musscle mostly) goes "crazy" by darting about the tank...
