Fahaka meets Fiddler for a meal

My mate picked up Fahaka a couple of weeks ago - only about 4-5" at the moment . He bought him a friend - a fiddler crab. Here's a video of the introduction - he seems to like him!!! sorry for the crappy quality, it was taken on a mobile phone.

I've had my GSP's a year now and notice mine do this too, I guessed it was just because they were sleeping because if I went near their tank they would uncurl and greet me ... I've learnt not to stress too much when they do this as they seem to be happy enough.....

Actually, since your tank is only large enough for 1 adult GSP, you could just keep the gravel in there, until you upgrade to a larger tank & then put CC in there. Thanks for the info, Upgrading the tank would be great but it will have to wait for a while, hmmmm I wonder if I could sneak in a 4...

Thanks PP :) , even though I have had my puffers for a year and they look healthy enough I still worry over them, I never thought owning a puffer could bring so many emotions and stresses at times  .... wouldn't change it though :)

Water tests

What water test kit do you guys use for your brackish setups, I have been using the strip tests but feel they aren't specific enough..... I'm UK based so something I can get over here too would be good :)

Gravel to Sand

At the moment I have gravel in my 125l tank, is it possible to swap it to sand? (I think the GSP's and goby's would prefer it too) or is it too late to change it now?

What would be the implications of changing it and where would I start?

Monos are schooling fish that grow a foot across. A tank of 300+g would be needed to house a school fo adults. My adult GSPs ate any goby, as they are too slow to escape pufferteeth. oops, looks like I should have done some homework before getting the mono, a foot across? really :? it's like the on...

I have knight Gobi's and a Mono in with my GSP, they all get on great, I did have some Silver Shark Catfish too but they were a bit too skittish for the puffers liking....
