Betel nut palm extract safe?
My community tank has 3 Amazon puffers. It also has a massive infestation of planeria. I’ve used planeria traps. They come out of the tank after a few hours with literally hundreds of planeria. I can put traps in every day, and I see no reduction in the horrible worms. Because I take plants from one...

Re: Parasites in T. schoutedeni?
I’m very surprised to read this. Did you let Dan’s fish know? I got puffers from him roughly a month ago, and I haven’t noticed a problem. But they’re my 1st puffers, so I’m not sure I would notice?

Thank you, Pufferpunk! I wish this were a more active forum.
What about the JBL? Do you know what’s preferred? Are scuds ok?

Re: New Owner: How do you know?
Now I have more questions! I see one of my puffers eating snails, so he’s good. But not the other. How quickly do their teeth grow?
The care sheet mentions JBL NovoGranoColor and some other JBL pellets. Will those keep its teeth down? What about scuds?

New Owner: How do you know?
How do I know if my Amazon puffers are eating the bladder snails, or the snails have just moved to a plant or similar? How do I know if they’re eating enough snails to keep their teeth trimmed? And how would I know if their teeth become over-grown? I cannot see their little mouths well enough, and t...

Re: N Texas Amazon Puffers
Thank you for the welcome!
Don’t worry, I’m pretty on top of water changes. Even my most heavily planted tanks get a water change/gravel vac every single week. I even schedule days off to get it done.

N Texas Amazon Puffers
Just got my 1st Amazon puffers. They’re a bucket list fish for me. Researched for ages, suddenly they’re here and I feel I know nothing. Their tank was set up and cycled long before they arrived. My snail breeding tank has been booming for a while. I’m in love with these guys! I want all the informa...
