Re: Anyone grow up with Metaframe Aquariums?
I haven't decided what I'm gonna do with it yet. I've got a Tom's canister filter, heater, and lights that will work. Now it's just figuring out stocking

Re: Anyone grow up with Metaframe Aquariums?
Growing up my parents had a 10g Metaframe until it started leaking, then got put in basement and forgot about. My last trip home I talked them out of the tank, but I've failed at trying to get it to reseal. I recently picked up a 2.5g that holds water, but has some scratches in it that I'm gonna try...

Re: hawaiian spotted puffer?
Some eat corals and some don't, it's hit or miss with each individual puffer. I've had a Pink Spotted that was nice, a Paupen Toby that was a SOB, and GSP's weren't shrimp friendly.

55g tank, need help on deciding between SAP's or a Congo
I'm setting up a 55g tank that has 75lbs of pool cleaner sand in the bottom. I don't plan on any live plants except a marimo ball. I'm trying to decide between 3 SAP's or a Congo Puffer. I've read about the trimming teeth on the SAP's but I've did it more than once on a Paupen Toby and on a couple o...

Re: Oops! But he was so Cute!
Its hit or miss with puffers. My pink spotted didn't bother anything, while my Paupen wiped out my zoos and shrooms. He tries to take a chunk out of my leather, but can't break it.

Re: Finally Got a Valentini!
I don't think the Valentini will eat the Aiptasia, I think they have a bad taste and they sting. I have had those Asterina starfish eat my aptasia, they die soon afterwards, might be a thought there, got em off of Ebay.

Re: Any reef safe puffers?
I honestly think my PInk Spotted would be okay with a clam. He refuses to eat anything besides frozen fish store food and I've tried the "thats the only thing your gonna get" philosophy but after a week I got kinda worried, but he's always picking at my live rock ruble, not the full sizes ...

Are you using Damsels to cycle your tank? They're pretty much indestructible and some get very territorial with age, what kind did you get? As for the anemone you need a very mature tank and it has to be very stable. Some of em you have to spot feed, and alot of puffers will eat the stuff off your f...
