Re: sourcing brackish puffers in Aus
It’s true they are seasonal. You may succeed in finding milk spotted. I am in Canada and I believe when I was sourcing mine I noticed some articles and forums with Australians discussing them like they were common. Chelonodon Patoca is your Latin name.

Re: New Puffer! Cross River
Okay I appreciate the info. That beast is too large for me to house long term but I checked out your contact and I’ll keep him in find if anything happens to my milk spotted puffer that I love.
What size tank will you house him in as full size?

Re: Help choosing best puffer option
The sap’s will easily fit in your 80 you could have even more. So you maybe should decide which is more of a pain. Buying and setting up and having space for the eventual big tank for the fahaka or the dentistry. You will likely eventually need some dentistry but you would need to live in a big city...

Mollies are a stand by for me. I also like stiphodon gobies for this. If you can find top hat blenny or zebra blenny they are amazing. My peacock gudgeons are also doing well. All are with four figure 8’s in a 120. I realize not same set up as you but you don’t need as many as I have.

growth rate chelonodon patoca
Good day. I just put four of these at about 5cm/2" into a 120 gallon. I was wondering if anyone can tell me how fast they grow/how long until I will have to find some of them new homes.
For some reason they are much more gentle than my Fig 8's which has been encouraging.
Thanks for your time.

Re: Caring for Brackish Plants
Hello this is my first post as I am just looking around and saw this. I am guilty of being a bit of a cheater but I use Seachem ‘brackish salt’ for my figure 8’s and my milk spots and I can plant anything I want. It’s a unique product for euryhaline species but still want a planted tank. It has done...
