Good news is we got home a couple weeks ago. Got word the day before we flew that he ate a shrimp piece. Looks to be good and healthy doing his normal lazy lurking. Still only eating once every 4 days but his stomach looks fine some I guess he's picking off snails sneakily.

Sorry to hear of the loss of your Hairy. We have only had ours a couple months but can already tell its a special breed of fish. I hope whatever you get in the tank next brings as much enjoyment as I know your Hairy did.

Not sure if youve made your move or not but Id go with bringing them with you. Get a bucket, cooler, or tub that can be secured with a lid and just transport the fish in them.
