If I understand correctly they come from a fairly wide geographical area. That's why I was hoping to come across something that could narrow down the plant species a bit.

Thanks for the link - I did read this (its actually the first article I read from this site) - I am looking for more detailed information on actual plant species. Native Planting for Colomesus asellus SAPS Amazon

I would like to plant my aquarium with plants native to the waters of the areas where these Colomesus asellus puffs travel. I'm usually pretty good at researching this kind of thing but I'm struggling with locating this information. If anyone can direct me to a resource for this I would be grateful....

Thank you for responding.

I will look into trying to find Kanaplex. This med does say for treatment of Columnaris on the pkg. And I know it to be safe for snails and puffers.

Do you recommend that I treat my seperate puffer/community tank as well?
