Re: Carinotetraodon irrubesco
Is chopped up shrimp or other seafood (like tilapia or cod or squid) an acceptable food to add into the rotation? I know krill is a big no-no.

Re: Carinotetraodon irrubesco
They are both in separate 10 gallon tanks- male's tank is a little sparse but females tank is fairly filled out. Going to keep adding more stuff to hopefully keep them busy

Re: Carinotetraodon irrubesco
Ok now the female is doing some glass surfing- they are both eating well, male ate bloodworms and a freeze-dried mealworm, female eats anything and everything. Hope female stops soon, maybe shes bored already? Trying to think of things to keep them entertained already hahaha

Re: Carinotetraodon irrubesco
I took the female- she is a little smaller but so freakin cute. They both were active and look healthy so far. Both tanks have snails waiting for if they get hungry and we will try feeding some mysis tomorrow

Re: Carinotetraodon irrubesco
Theyre here! One is definitely a male and the other I think is a female. Male is active in bag already, suspected female not moving much besides her pectoral fins right now- acclimating starting now. One of my tanks I left on 72 by accident- will one be ok in that temp until it can catch up?

Re: Carinotetraodon irrubesco
They arrive tomorrow, so hopefully, yes. Got one for me and one for my girlfriend (who is newer to fish but fell in love with puffers of course). I will try and update with pics! Going to feed them snails to start and then maybe try frozen mysis in a few days

As of this past weekend, The Wet Spot has red-eyes in stock! I just got two for myself and they said they are going quick so I wanted to post here in case anyone saw this and wanted their own!

Re: New to Puffers!
You make a fair point I decided to sit on it and not make an impulse decision since I can get DPs anytime I want if I want to go that direction. For now, I am going to wait it out and hope a little irrubesco pops up!

Due to my apartment rules, no. I know its a stupid rule but I have to follow it nonetheless. Thanks! I like to think so myself

Re: New to Puffers!
They are giving them away, but I could not upgrade for at least a year (will be moving) so I am unsure if that is a good plan in the short term

Re: New to Puffers!
I just found 3 pea puffers being kept in a 10 gallon on craigslist- should I pick them up and take them in or no since I cannot add to their shoal as they would really like. I only ask because I worry about someone taking them who does not know how to care for them

Re: New to Puffers!
I looked up wet pets and found a bunch of results, but none seem to have stock on their website- do you have the link for it if they do have a webpage?
