So I take it an anenome can't protect itself from a puffer?

I have a fairly small porcupine(3-4"), he has never nipped at my gobie or my tang, he likes my snails and I have a lot in the tank for him. Can I get an anenome and a clown, or will he nip at them?

I have the same problem, but my puffer hangs out in a cave in the bottom of the tank. I have a 90 gallon tank with about 120# of sand and about 100# of rock.
