Air bubble in Topaz

My 7 inch Topaz has a suspected air bubble trapped just behind and below her dorsal fin. I have tried to burp her many times in accordance with all available web information. When I hold her upright for burping, the lump disappears and there is nothing hard to feel. She swims listing to one side and...

Ceylon / Topaz teeth

Bella, 3yrs old and 6" long has had this tooth problem on and of for a couple of months. I think she might have broken one biting the ocean rocks. She eats well and acts as normal. I've only had one reply from exotic vets in S.Yorks and that was disappointing. Is there anyone that has had this ...

Re: HELP! Puffers biting holes in plants.

My Ceylons did it too. The salinity finally killed off the plants. So I went for plastic plants and the Puffers only bit the green ones. They also bit chunks out of a sponge filter I had in their tank. In fact they try to bit anything to see if it's edible. Oh! and don't use a glass thermometer eith...

Topaz red tail

FUNGAL?
Penelope is a Topaz Puffer over 150mm. This damage to her tail doesn't look like the usual rock scrape. It's got red on the white area.
PH 7.8 TO 8.0
AMMONIA 0 TO 0.25
NITRITE 0
NITRATE 40 to 80ppm+ Never been able to better that

Ceylon, Topaz salinity

There appears to be many opinions on the level of salinity for Topaz Puffers.
What are your thoughts on the proper final salinity level for them?
