It could possibly be a bit of skin that he partially scratched off too?

Possibly. I don’t want to make him puff up or stress him out too bad. Is that what you would recommend?

This is probably a stupid question but I can’t find an answer anywhere.

What are the two little things that stick up on my F8 puffer’s “nose”? I know it’s normal. I’m just curious as to the purpose of these protrusions.

Update: he has deflated now and behaving normally again. Yay!
Lasted about an hour.
I turned the lights off and tried to leave him alone to calm down.
Is it normal for them to stay puffed for so long? Can they partially inflate themselves?
