Re: F8 rubbing/flinging himself into things possible parasite?
Could overfeeding and constipation possibly cause him to be jumping like he does he'll just be swimming along randomly and then he'll twitch like he's in pain I'm pretty sure he's not doing it intentionally I could be wrong though

Re: F8 rubbing/flinging himself into things possible parasite?
I see the lump now--probably just food. Does it go down after skipping a day of eating? I honestly haven't skipped a full day of eating yet, when his stomach goes down it gets harder to notice it but it seems like it reappears on the same side and I think that's the side he tries to itch himself on

Re: F8 rubbing/flinging himself into things possible parasite?
I tested my water hardness with an API kit and I put about 50 drops in and it never turned green.. is that a problem or is there something that would throw off the test in brackish water or not be applicable?

Re: F8 rubbing/flinging himself into things possible parasite?
I don't really see any bump. Careful with meds. Flashing like that usually indicates ich. What's the SG of the tank? Thanks, I would just think it was a food bump except for that behavior that goes along with it that makes me worry. I do probably overfeed him because I haven't skipped a day in a lo...

F8 rubbing/flinging himself into things possible parasite?
I've had this fish for almost a year now but about a month ago I noticed his eyes were cloudy and I ended up giving him melafix and treated him with general cure (prazi&metro) wasn't sure he was going to make it once he stopped eating, but he pulled through and is looking healthy again. The only...

Figure 8 bump on side of stomach? Could this be a parasite
Ive had him for about 4 months or so now and I'm starting to notice a bump on the side of his belly? He's eating fine as you can see (I know I don't usually feed him this much) I've been keeping up on my water changes changing 30-40% twice a week. Ph 7.8 salinity .005 ammonia nitrites 0 nitrates 10p...
