Just to go a little off topic... when you say "ghost shrimp" is that the same as Amano shrimp (Cardinia multidentata formerly C.japonica) or is it something totally different?
Many thanks from Bill.

Funny you should say that saynever, I'm going to have a go at a Corkscrew Vallis jungle. I think i have seen a very long thin leaved variety, as well as the more stout version. It would look nice with the V.torta I already have. My puffers tend to sleep cradled in the Java fern leaves (irresistibly ...

Puffer behaviour

Planted Tanks?
I was wondering what plants people keep with their puffers. I have a small tank with two Dwarf Puffers and am looking for some inspiration. I'd like to show you a photo, but my camera has problems dealing with my bow-front tank...anyway I would love to see photos or just hear what you all grow. All ...

Thanks so much for your replies everyone. They do seem to be two males. They both have a dark line running down their bellies from their chins. I think a ten gal might be the answer, if I can find room ( small room + lots of animals + furniture = cramped room, lol ). Otherwise I may try and build a ...

Scary moment today
This evening there was a really scary moment with my Dwarf Puffers when I was sitting by the tank. They were swimming around looking for food as usual. The slightly larger puffer, Sanjay, was up towards the top of the tank, while my other puffer (Gupta), was down near the bottom. Suddenly Gupta flew...
