Re: any updated info on breeding SAP?

I would be interested in seeing this as well, I have three South American Puffers. I’ve heard they’ve never been bred in captivity, but don’t know anything else about attempts to breed them or any possible breakthroughs... Would love to hear about this as well!

Puffers on the move!

Hello all!! :) I recently bought a 30 gallon tank to move my 3 Amazon puffers in to, which are currently situated in a 20 gallon. It may still not be ideal/as big as the puffers would really enjoy, but for now I’m excited to give them an upgrade. I have a few questions, however, regarding the new se...

New to Puffers :-))

Hello, My name is Elizabeth and I am new to keeping puffers. I currently own 3 South American Puffers, 8 goldfish, and about a hundred snails I am using for feeding purposes for the puffers...:P They do not all live together, each species has their own tank. My puffers names are Ernest (his nickname...

Re: Amazon Puffer Teeth

Thanks for the advice everyone! I understand my tank may be too small, and I feel bad about it, but for now the undertaking to start up a 50 gallon tank would be very difficult... I have my goldfish in a 75 gallon. I’ve considered putting the puffers in with them, but factors such as water temperatu...

Re: Amazon Puffer Teeth

Update: Thanks Puffer punk for the reply! I checked both articles out and will be trying to follow their instructions. The one mentioned using clove oil for clipping their teeth, but I’ve seen elsewhere that that could be dangerous long term so I purchased some MS 222 online. It should be coming in ...

Amazon Puffer Teeth

I am worried about my Puffer fish, their teeth, and their coloration and water quality. I have three Amazon Puffer fish in a 20 gallon tank that has double filtration, several plants (mostly live, a few fake) and several little places to hide around the edges. The middle is open for swimming and I h...

Re: Newbie from BTS's country

Mind has refused to eat so far... :P Hope you do well with your new hobby and maybe we can share differen...

New Amazon Puffer - skimming glass and won’’t eat :/

Hey Everybody, I am new to this forum. I just recently (two days ago) bought a single Amazon Puffer fish and named him Ernest/Ernie! :D The people at the store said it would be alright to just get one, but after doing some research at home I found out they can get nervous alone.. so that may have so...
