Well we are paying off our debt and saving up to build a house in the next few years and were planning on putting a 12'L x 4'W x4'T tank as the room divider between the kitchen and living room. I already have the floor plans since my wife is a designer at her company, and she worked with a architect...

Starry puffer (Arothron stellatus)
So recently I have been seeing these guys around locally for the past month or so and I have wanted to buy one of these puffers since I got into sw fish. So I guess I want to know if they are hard to care for or have any special food requirements or if they are like other sw puffers. I have seen alo...

Yeah the dwarf lion fish do really well with puffers I had one in my tank for 6 months but lost it in the move to a bigger tank. I also found out that the Fu Man Chu Lions are really good tank mates for puffers they like to hide in the rock work and some one I know from a lfs has had one in a tank w...

No it shouldn't be a problem the reason they are a pest to reef tanks is because they will out compete the corals for light and they can clone and spawn pretty quickly. But in a fish only tank they might actually be considered benificial as they would help consume some of the nutrients in the water.

Well I finally found the problem. Today I decided to clean out the qt tank and put all my other fish in the display tank except P-Diddy and I treated him to a nice 45 min formalin bath. While he was in the bucket I decided to clean out the qt and put in fresh unmedicated water. Well what do you know...

Yeah I have had all my fish in a qt tank for 2 1/2 weeks now. The pain thing just started last night and I found out what it was my powerhead started to short out and would occasionally shock the tank and I guess the puffer was the one who noticed the most. But he was eating great up until a 4-5 day...
