Re: Tap vs. RO vs. RODI

Any suggestions? As the tank is only a 40 breeder, I don't think I will need a very high end unit. I'm thinking somewhere around 50GPD. After speaking with a lot of FOWLR keepers they recommend not using DI unless you have corals, but instead replacing the DI with calcium remineralization cartridge...

Re: Hello from USA- new to the forum

I tried to send a picture, but it won't let me ..🙅🏼‍♀️ I upload my photos to a public album on facebook and link them in from there (I find that it's the easiest place to store them and I don't have to sign up for a service that will make me pay or watermark images). Just click on the photo after u...

Re: Powerhead Reviews & Guide

I've been running the Ecotech Marine MP10wqd powerhead in my tank and I love it. I chose this one after a lot of thought because I knew that I wanted to automate in the future (which is why I got the Wqd for wireless connectivity), I didn't want to see wires in the tank or added heat/risk of electri...

Re: RO Water Automation Big Plans

I ended up going to Home Depot and speaking with a guy in the fittings section. He proved to be very helpful and after looking at my idea, he made the parts list a lot smaller (and quite a bit cheaper as well). All in all it will cost about $60 CDN (not including the RO filter and RO tank) and here'...

Yeah! I've been watching all their videos and especially the ones on the RO systems to figure out my needs.

Gorgeous George! I hope you have room for a 3.000g tank!
I think this is to say 3000G tank? But yes, a dedicated room is in the works for filtration and housing a monster tank build.

Just a quick intro (with pics)

Hi there! First I wanted to say that researching this forum for a few months gave me a lot of information and a lot of direction on starting up our hobby. We have taken the Marine FOWLR plunge head first. I have kept freshwater tanks (afraid to take on saltwater because of the advice of others on h...
