Thanks. I am planning to do that, hopefully around mid of this year.

Just a follow-up question. How about a 40 long? Will it be enough for 4 Amazon Puffers?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Bumblebee Goby and Dwarf Puffer
Most, yes. However, I think there are freshwater bumblebee gobies swimming around somewhere. As to knowing whether they are the freshwater kind or the brackish kind, I have no idea. My cousin had them in a 10 gallon, freshwater. They died after 6 months, I think. So, maybe they are the brackish type...

Re: Bumblebee Goby and Dwarf Puffer
And I may be wrong but it sounds to me like the OP was asking why the question of cycling the tank was connected to the situation mentioned, not why the act of cycling is important. Yeah, you're right. I read that as well but I was following the thread with Pufferpunk asking about cycling and OP sa...

Re: Bumblebee Goby and Dwarf Puffer
First, I love those Bumblebee Gobies. I wish the LFS near me would have them. Make sure they are the fresh water type and not the brackish ones. Next, not an expert, but as far I can understand, cycling an aquarium is always important because it allows the establishment of a colony of beneficial bac...

Re: New dwarf puffer set up advice
Hmmm... not an expert at all, but IMHO, pea puffers would not do well in a community tank housed in a 40 gallon tank. First, you won't see them, especially if it's planted or if you have a lot of places for them to hide into. They're shy, as far as I can observe. But if put on a species only tank, t...

Re: Amazon Puffer Impostor?
pufferjw , thanks for the confirmation and Pufferpunk , thanks for the links, especially the Puffer Dentristy. I've read them a lot of of times and dread the day that I would have to do them myself. I might have a heart attack just from the stress. 😂 Definitely a SAP. Great species to own, very act...

Here is one of the puffers in question, just for clarity.
Your insight is always appreciated.

It has stripes, but very dull. I'll take another shot from a higher angle tomorrow.

Amazon Puffer Impostor?
Does this dude/dudette look like an Amazon Puffer to you? (Please see attached image.) This was sold to me as an Amazon Puffer. However, when I double checked on the internet as to how an Amazon Puffer looks like, this dude/dudette doesn't seem to look like it. I have two of them and they both look ...

Re: SAP surfing glass
I'm not an expert by a long shot but maybe, just maybe, it's because he's alone? I've read the Amazon Puffers are kinda social and prefers to be with a group. I have two, Oliver and Barry. Barry is the one who often glass surfs, Oliver, just swims around and darts from one place to another. But plea...

Re: My 300g CustomAquariums.com tank
Thanks for sharing this. I also like glass a lot more than acrylic even though it's heavier. This tank was from two years ago. How is it doing now? What's your stocking? Do you have a new full tank shot? I just wanted to know because, who knows, I might be able to afford a monstrous tank in the near...
