White Mass Dwarf Puff
Dwarf puff, Big Mama, died today. A few days ago we noticed a spot but wasn't sure if it was an injury or something else. She stopped eating a day ago and just hung out on the bottom of the tank Today, she didn't move at all and I noticed another faint spot on her back. We moved her to a separate co...

Opinions on Tank Set Up for 1 to 3 DP's?
Hi! Can I get your opinion on my tank set up? Is this good enough for more than 1 DP (not sure if I want more than 1 but no more than 2 or 3)? It's a 10 gallon and I have fake and lots of live plants, thinking of adding a small castle for an additional hiding spot. Any suggestions or comments are we...

Re: PH Levels Fluctuate
My tap water is 7.4 straight out of the tap and then 3 hours later it is 7.0. When I test the water in my tank it's usually 8.0 or above. I changed my substrate out and its still fluctuating. What is the best way to keep it steady?

PH Levels Fluctuate
Hi! I have looked in the library and noticed that for DPs they are preferable to lower pH but a higher pH is ok as long as it stays steady. I have noticed since I set up my tank that my pH seems to fluctuate anywhere from 7.6 to 8.2. I do have African Cichlid Mix Substrate (I didn't even think about...

Re: Tank Cycle Question for Dwarf Puffer
No I kept the ammonia at between 2 and 4. I'm pretty sure the first time I tested I had some nitrites.

Tank Cycle Question for Dwarf Puffer
Hi! Today is the first day that my Ammonia was 0, Nitrite 0 and Nitrate was 40-80 (will do water change tomorrow) to see if it goes down. I was wondering how long should I ensure my tank is good to go before I add a Dwarf Puffer? I was planning on waiting about 7 days adding ammonia to get about 2pp...

New Tank Water Parameters Question
Hi! I just started cycling my new 10g tank and am on the 3rd day (2nd day using Fluval concentrated Biological) here are what my readings were today. Does it look like the cycling process is going in the right direction? Should I add more ammonia? My tank will be for 1 or 2 DPs. Ph - 7.6 Ammonia - 2...

Re: Pea Puffer tank help
Thank you! For my 10 gallon I bought Aquaclear 30, airstone and some fake plants. I plan on getting some java fern and maybe wisteria should I add them right away when I start the cycle process? Not sure if I'm getting one or two dp's yet. Nervous and excited.
