In the library there is an article about the identification of F8 Puffers. Apparently F8 Puffers always have two eyspots, one either side of the base of the tail and one just below the dorsal fin. The fish in this thread looks to me as though it has those ... does it not? In any event, you can neve...

Hey RTR, So, with marine do you have fewer water changes? I've been reading up on live rock, etc and looking for a new/used tank as well. I've heard that keeping a marine tank is a lot cheaper. I guess when you first setup a marine tank it's going to be a little pricey, but after that it should be m...

Hey Gunsmoke78, I just got a GSP yesterday, he's an inch and a half. I'm in the same position as you. I need to learn about keeping a marine tank as well. :D

I used to have a brackish tank with a f8 and three ghost shrimp. The shrimp are still alive six months later. They did quite well in brackish water.

Just don't put them in with any snails. They will suck the snails out of their shells.

Thanks for the quick response phaedrus.

I rinsed it in a bucket under running water before adding it. I added the substrate before the water too.

I'll try adding another filter and the filter floss as well.

Thanks!

question about aragonite

Hi, I'm new to the forum and have a question about aragonite. I have had a brackish tank before with gravel. I set my tank up yesterday and instead of using gravel I decided to use aragonte instead. My question is, how long does it take for the water to completely settle. The water is still a little...
