Re: GSP digestion
Just as a question, why is it bad to feed crushed up Malaysian Trumpet snails? I mean everywhere I go, people seem to recommend MTS's. Thanks for the reply!

GSP digestion
Hello everyone, I was doing the usual feed of Malaysian Trumpet Snails to my Green Spotted Puffer a few minutes ago and I always gently crush the shell of the MTS since the puffer(BumbleBee) is still very small(1.9ish inches). Today, I saw him eat the entire operculum of an MTS, should I be concerne...

Re: GSP internal parasites?
Yes, I did treat his food. I soaked some people shrimp in a cup of tank water and added the medication. I then put the whole solution in the aquarium and he ate some of the shrimp, but spit a little out. Thanks for the reply Pufferpunk and Pufferjw!

GSP internal parasites?
Hi guys, I kind of recently got a GSP named BumbleBee. Since GSP's are notorious for having internal parasites, I medicated him early on as a preventative. I then made the stupid mistake of adding in plants from a tank at PETCO. He then started developing a sunken in belly so I treated him again. No...

So It would technically work for enough time for me to switch over to a marine salt mix?

Freshwater Aquarium salt for GSP
Hi guys, I am about to set up a tank for a Green Spotted Puffer, and I got freshwater aquarium salt, which I am now hearing may be bad for my puffer. After doing some research I found that freshwater aquarium salt is basically salt that is deionized and and has few minerals. If I mix this with a ver...

How to never feed a puffer
HI guys, I wanted to discuss a topic that I feel hasn't been talked about a whole lot. That is how to never have to feed your fish while your fish thrives. I know, I know, it sounds crazy but it's not. As long as you have a big tank and set it up correctly, then you may never have to feed your puffe...

Can my shrimp get Internal Parasites from my fish
Hi everyone, my dwarf puffer passed away this morning from what I think was Internal Parasites. I have had him for months now and he was very healthy up until very recently. I did not think it was Internal Parasites until he stopped eating and by then it was too late to get proper medication. There ...

Re: Mysterious Dwarf Puffer Death, Seeking Closure
When you listed its tank mates, you said a neon tetra, guppy, redeye tetra and shark catfish. The tetras that you listed are schooling fish and a shark catfish does not seem like a good tank mate for a dwarf puffer anyway. Even a guppy can get pretty stressed from the dwarf puffer. Although I agree ...

Yea I think it's low because the tank has a lot of driftwood, but I'm slowly raising the PH up.

Re: Puffer almost dead please Help!
I guess you're right about the traumatization. I did just feed him a couple of bloodworms and he seems a little better. (I have been trying to feed them all day.)I'm posting some videos on Youtube now so you can see if he looks like he can come back from almost being dead.
