Thanks PP, managed got my hands on some longer tongs, with these i rubbed a worm right up against its lips and he took it! after that a few hours later i tried with a live super worm and again rub on the lips and it bit down! think ive got the technique now, thank you so much!

Total volume is just what the sump holds plus the tank size. Flow rate into the sump is the exact same as flow rate out of the sump, and that number is listed as gallons per hour on the return pump box. I use an Eheim Compact+ 3000 for my ray tank, which moves the entire tank volume about 4 times p...

And for a tank that size I prefer a sump as it greatly reduces maintenance, but if you really want a canister filter the fx4 would be sufficient and PROBABLY quieter. e I see what you mean, how do you calculate the carious volume then? such as flow rate out of the tank to the sump, the required siz...

Hes eating very happily still and the spot has appeared to shrunk still present though struggling to source clove oil as i live fairly far from civilisation and my camera cant take a decent picture.

Hey everyone, i recently bought 5 cm Figure of 8 Puffer, just today as i was preforming 30% water change I noticed a black spot with a white inside about 5mm across on his belly near his mouth. i'm completely new to puffers but i have kept other tropical fish for over 10 years.
