Ok! Thank you so much for the quick response! It was such an icky situation and I bawled my eyes out for days. I’m finally ready to have fish in the tank again!

Dead puffer - poisoned tank?
Hello! I just lost a small T. miurus recently. However before I could remove its body from the tank, all of my trumpet snails ate the carcass clean! There are only a few rib bones left. (I have an ABSURD number of MTS in this tank and have been trying to control them for ages.) My question is: if I ...

Re: Hey all from MN
I LOVE FAHAKAS!! If we had the space we would totally have one!!!! Snails are a pain in the butt! I’ve heard people having good luck setting up mystery snail breeding tanks - they lay eggs quite readily and can get nice and big to eat! Do you have pictures of Ollie? Jack is a big weirdo so I had to ...

Re: Hey all from MN
Hi! I’m also from Minneapolis!! I would have recommended Aquatropics but the owner retired! However I bet the guys from Aqualand Aquarium Center would have snails for you - they tend to have just about everything and are incredibly knowledgeable too. You could call them and ask :) What kind of puff ...

Re: Malaysian Trumpet Snails
She was the happiest, fattest little puff! I bawled my eyes out when she passed. Hubby did too - we're pretty sure she died of old age. Such a sweetie!

Malaysian Trumpet Snails
Hi everyone! I have a quick general questions I'd like to get some opinions for. It seems that using MTS as puffer foods is a mixed bag and I haven't been able to find a definitive answer if it's good or now. Some puffer owners say that they can break teeth; others say they've used MTS as food for y...

Entertaining Puffers
Hello all!! Question for you: what do you do with a bored puffer? Have you made toys? What has worked for you? I've got a little dude who gets pretty bored from time to time and I'd like to give him something to do. I've tried ping pong balls but he doesn't seem to care about them. I've also rearran...

Don't Bite the Hand that Feeds You!
Today I went to feed Jack (Red/Orange Congo Puffer) his normal lunch of shrimp and he went right for my fingers!! He didn't actually get me but it was a close call! I've always hand fed him, but lately he has taken an interest in my delicious fingers! After the near miss, he kept begging me for more...

Re: Walter my Fahaka
I also have a piscivore and have to put *warnings* on my videos when he eats live fish or snails. Walter is awesome, he looks very healthy, and it's obvious he's a happy fish - you're doing good, sir

Re: Burn? Scrape?
That's odd... it doesn't look too bad--you could add Melafix to help heal. Thanks Pufferpunk! I figured it wasn't anything too serious but I can tell it's bugging him. I read through the library and couldn't find anything similar. He's also blinking frequently, so my guess was it's something in the...

Re: Burn? Scrape?
Sorry to be a pest, but has anyone experienced this with their puffer? Any recommendations on how to treat it? I can tell he's not feeling well and I don't know what else to do. Thanks!

Burn? Scrape?
Hello all! I checked on my little dude this morning (Congo Puffer) and noticed a burn or scrape on his lip (pictures to follow). I put some Stress Coat with Aloe Vera to help it heal, but is there anything else I can do? He's not burrowing (probably because his lip hurts) and I have no clue how he ...
