When feeding a mbu or fahaka...do you feed to satiation or give them a somewhat random amount per feeding to more accurately simulate what they'd find in nature? so should i go buy this guy and see what happends. this guy is very aggressive and active in the tank it was in. it was with figure 8's and a couple other puffs that i dont know of. more than half the puffers in this tank is teared.

i know these arent freshwater, but i juss saw a very active one at petland. they were selling it for about 9$ and other kinds of puffers too. i asked the guy and he said itz in a freshwater tank, no brakish or salt. i was wondering if it's possible to raise these guys in freshwater forever?

how fast will these guys grow or whats their growth rate per month? and whens the point where they start to slow down a bit? this is considering that the fahaka and mbu are both about 3" and will be fed 2-3x a week.

the reason why im askin is because i am about to get rid of my silver aro and tsn for a 3" fahaka. the pH in this tank is a 6.0 and temp is at 84-86 even. this is what concerns me now. the pH is a lil low i guess, and once i get rid of these guys i am going to add some pH buffer to raise it to ...

is 84 degrees Fahrenheit too high for a fahaka? what's a good temp for it?
