6 year old GSP available for adoption
I've had a single GSP for the past 6 years and it is with a heavy heart that I must part ways with my little buddy on or before 12/24/21. I'd like to see him taken in by an experienced enthusiasts who understands and can accommodate the needs of a full grown GSP (approx 5-6"). Please message me...

Re: GSP Chronic illness & recovery w/youtube video link
I’m happy to report that Boogie has (yet again) made 85%-90% recovery without medication or intervention. I would prefer not to blindly put him through copper or formalin treatments... and I once saw a post on here: sometimes all we can do is provide them with good nutrition, clean water and a spaci...

Re: New to puffers- need some advice
I feed my GSP the usual seafood mix (squid, scallop, shrimp, lobster, crab, scallop etc) along with a quarter sized flake of dried seaweed; all soaked in Selcon and Kent Zoe vitamin supplement. Through trial and error, I’ve found that seaweed really helps to avoid constipation but he absolutely refuses...

Re: Side Glass Reflection. Can your fish see its own reflection?
My GSP is in a 65gal acrylic tank in my office. He’s a super curious little guy but would have violent panic/freak out episodes at his own reflection and the reflection of movenent outside the tank (especially when people talk with their hands). Definitely varied depending on sunlight and time of da...

Best advice money can't buy
I am absolutely smitten with my GSP and have been fortunate enough to afford a top rate aquatic vet and get special treatment from a highly regarded marine biologist... but the most effective advice/education/guidance for my little guy has come from this forum... for free. IMHO, there is little fina...

Re: GSP - Ivy League Vet + Marine Biologist stumped! Please help!
I tried another week of antibiotics but the symptoms seem to slowly built. At PP's advice, I then scrapped the canister filter... and in just 5 days my little bugar ball was about 80% clear, if not more. I forgot I had two bags of carbon in there (and apparently not very well rinsed, tons of dust re...

Thanks for the response, PP! I feared it could be vibrio when the symptoms first appeared two months ago, but I was under the impression that vibrio kills within 36-48 hours? Here is a direct link to a few pics, hopefully this will help the diagnosis: http://i1249.photobucket.com/albums/hh516/chazge...

GSP - Ivy League Vet + Marine Biologist stumped! Please help!
All, Over the past year, I've had to use a barrage of Paraguard, PraziPro, API General Cure (4 weeks in tank and then 1 week dosed in food) and prescription antibiotics (dosed in food) to address my GSP's symptoms which ranged from subtle twitching to violent flashing, clamped gills and even a few d...
