Thank you for the reply I will do a water change, now. I was doing what I was told on another forum.
I have bad eyes. My wife said there were white "things" hanging off of him.

Thank you for the link. I have spent this evening getting to know mappa puffers. Holy cow Mappas are some big boys!!! I am sad I will not be able to keep him. He is so beautiful but I fully agree a 250 is nowhere near big enough. I will spend the next week looking for a good home.

Thank you Arny. That is exactly what I said! The guy that sold him to me swears he is a guinea fowl, at least that is what the guy that sold him stated it was. I bought this ?guinea fowl? puffer when he was very small, about 2". He was black with small white spots. Now he is 4" yellowish brown in color with large oval pale beige spots. Around his eyes the spots are starting to connect into lines. I have never seen a guinea fowl puffer with these ...

Puffer punk I think you hit the nail on the head when you asked what his poop looked like I realized I have not seen any poop from him in a long time!!! So in addition to treating for IP's I will get epson salt in the am. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I at one point had 16 planted tanks. In my experience and what I have been told. The fuzz will definitely go away just give it time. It looks bad but it is harmless. Several of my tanks developed the white fuzz on the wood and not one had any effect on the fish or water parameters. Just give it time...

He is eating well. He eats Rod's fish food, originel and predator. I feed him a small amount twice a day. He is swimming with his tail curled and tucked. He is hiding a bit, but that maybe because he associates me with catching him for his freshwater dips. I just stated treating him for parasites be...
