Re: Juvenile Fakaha puffer - new, just saying hi
My advice would if not already done treat for Internal parasites. Chances are he has some and if they start to effect him it's much harder to treat. Precautionary treatment rocks

Re: how much bloodworm for 2 SAP's
I breed apple snail in a 50ltr tank. Keeping the water fresh the produce more than enough to feed a couple of SAPs. I also have cherry shrimp breeding with them. Gives the puffer something to chase every so often

Re: Fahaka puffer help
Fahakas get spooked pretty easily. Tank changes or noise. Mone likes floating plant cover or he's inactive. I would check the ammonia and nitrates as he will suffer first.

A security light as macro algae lamp

As ever I am keen to find cheaper ways of achieving the same ends. I need a light to grow the macro algae in the sump. Researching th...

Re: Fahaka - strange "infection" in tail
Just found out its a b*tch to order Melafix or Kanaplex in the Netherlands. Nothing but webshops from the States sell it. I buy it in Ireland in the LFS easy enough. I did a quick search on ebay under European Union selllers and theres plant closer to home than the states. The kanaplex looks like i...

Re: White marks on body
If these are small injuries then the treatment usually suggested is melafix. White spots on newly purchased fish though may also be ich/whitespot? Can you post a picture?

Re: Saw sick gsp in pet store and would like to save.
Chances are the fish is currently in freshwater in the shop. If so starting him in freshwater with the established freshwater media and some safe start should be ok. Lots of water changes and clean out uneaten food. You can add salt slowly using a hydrometer to bring the salt levels up over time. If...

Re: Fahaka puffer help!!!
MY fahaka refused cockles and muscles for a year. Ate blood worm, snails (I breed them) earth worms, white shrimp (frozen). Following a internal parasite problem he lost a lot of weight then recovered with treatment following that he ate everything offered and now likes muscles and cockles more than...

Re: Help On Treating Injured Puffer
its a general antibacterial water additive - tea tree based (from the smell) good for cuts and abrasions in aquarium fish. Might be sore on the eye and as its a marine puffer the salt will do the same job most likely. How is he looking today?
