What else to try to get teeth trimmed?
My two puffers refuse to eat snail shells. One of my puffers actually slurps the snail meat out without having to even break the shell. I'm feeding pond snails so they die pretty quick in the saltwater. I've also tried putting in a small marine snail and they didn't even bother with it. Though it st...

Clean Up Crew
I'm trying to find a nice clean up crew that won't eat my chocolate chip starfish and that my GSP puffer won't chase after though it isn't really aggressive at all. He's been good with ghost shrimp in the past. But not sure how he feels about colorful shrimp. Any suggestions?

GSP, valentini, snowflake eel as tank mates?
Asking a question for my husband who is interested in a snowflake eel. Would the eel and my 3 inch green spotted puffer get along? I'm quite fond of my puff puff! Right now all I have is a chocolate chip starfish with my GSP and she doesn't even try to harm it nor did she ever try to harm the shrimp...

Help with protein skimmers and powerhead circulation pumps
My GSP is near marine conditions now and I'm starting to look for a protein skimmer and a powerhead or circulation pump (really don't know the difference.) My aquarium is a 40 gallon breeder. I'm looking for a protein skimmer that is no more than $50-60 and that isn't huge. I've searched on amazon b...

GSP - Quick SG Clarification?
According to the library here on SG it says a cup per 5 gallons to raise .005? So for a 30 gallon that would be 6 cups of salt a week until it reaches full marine? Right now my new GSP is at 1.007 and he's about 2.5 inches long. The LFS keeps the new arrives in fresh water then in brackish when they...

Re: Some advice for F8?
[welcome] Nitrate is high, should be <20. What's your WC schedule? http://www.thepufferforum.com/forum/library/feeding/problems-feeding-your-puffer/ Actually the nitrate looked between colors of 20 and 40 and didn't know which color to go with so I went with 40ppm. I do a 25% water change once a we...

Some advice for F8?
I posted this on another forum but got only one reply so I'd figure I'd look up a puffer forum and came against this awesome place. I'm a bit worried (I tend to over worry) about my figure 8 whom I've had about 3 weeks or so now. I've read that they are full of personality but mine only paces the gl...
