He lived in freshwater for almost two weeks and almost died. I thought he was goner last night, but he pulled through and is thriving. He should have been in a marine tank from the start

Puff took a turn for the worst today and is being acclimated to brackish water in a separate tank. I hope it makes it, it really is a cool fish. I'm going to the pet store tomorrow to give them a piece of my mind, and make sure this doesn't happen again because it isn't fair to the fish

I'll post more pictures later but I think it might be a Sabahensis because of the spots and how comfortable it is in different water parameters

the belly isn't really spotted, it's pretty dark. I'll try to take some more pictures tomorrow

It's caudal fin is normally folded and looks like a paintbrush. It was living in pure freshwater at the pet store for a while and has been living in one of my tanks for over two weeks. It seems healthy for now but i'd like to keep it in ideal conditions

Identification

My mom recently purchased this puffer and nobody can seem to identify it. It is currently living in 100% freshwater, that's what it was in at the store
