I actually have some experience with this! I established a 20 gallon freshwater tank for 3 DPs at home over the summer and was able to transfer it to my dorm room at university 3 hours away (side note: my dorm's pet rule was no more than one non-carnivorous fish in a tank 10 g or under... oops ;). The anus appears to be clear, this bump is too far to the right of the midline to have originated there. I will continue observing him and his tankmates

Thanks for the input, I think I'll add more hiding places then try amano shrimp. Also, I can't help but find this adorable. Occasionally I'll see my male (Andy) watching my danios, and sometimes he'll chase them a little bit (without actually catching them) then turn and look at me to see if I caugh...
