Re: Algae HELP!

All seems well, I ordered the test kit online, and it took a few extra days then I thought to come. By the time it came, I had already done a 80 percent water change... Anyways, all seems well, the algie hasn't came back and all water tests came out good! Now to re stock the tank! It's a blank slate...

Re: Filteration advice

I was under the understanding that's when you add co2 to a planted tank, you want no surface movement. Or as little as you can get.

A buddy of mine told me, that while injecting co2, putting an airstone is counterproductive

Filteration advice

Right now I have a aqua clear hob filter on my 20 gallon long planted tank. I am looking to upgrade that, mostly because I want to stop the surface movement. There's a couple ways I want to go: At petsmart right now a fluval canister is on for 110 dollars Do you think that kind of money makes any se...

Re: Algae HELP!

So I did a check of my water, everything seems to be okay.

I did a big cleaning of the tank 2 days ago, and have had the light turned off since then, today I am going to turn the light back on and see what happens!

Re: Algae HELP!

My water changes get done about 20 percent every week and a half. I bought the testing kit, and it should be delivered today. I usually do stir up the stand, but not all of it, I have one area where the sand is higher and it's highly planted with wasteria and some swards. I noticed when I took my sy...

Re: Ideas for my tank

Keep in mind some loaches eat snails as well. If you're looking for something to airate the substrate MTS work great but breed very fast. My red-eye puffer loves them and I have a video somewhere of my DPs eating adult mts. At this point my puffer has access to pond snails, mystery snails, ramshorn...
