I am pleased to say that I have had Ziggy just over a month now and have not seen anymore white lumps and the ones he had have disappeared, so I think it was just due to the move. He seems happy in his new home and likes his food!!

I tried Asda and they had some mussels and cockles and clams. It is definately worth going.

It is odd. I can't get the kids to eat them but Ziggy does!

I am happy with Ziggy (my Mbu) in the 6ft at the moment and have been offered the 8x3x3 so I thought it would be good for the future or if he doesn't get on with his tank mates.

There is an adonis plec and 4 Geophagus Proximus that are roughly the same size as the mbu.

Give it a go. Follow the guide and you'll be fine. I have 2 SAP and trim their teeth when they need it. Mine aren't big on snails but eat almost anything else. The first time I trimmed their teeth it was nerve wracking but once you've done it once you'll be fine about doing it again.

Thanks for the replies. The tank was leveled and sitting on a wooden base that came with the tank but it was second hand. It was well made with stress bars and 12mm glass.
