Re: My New Dwarf Puffer "Biotope" Tank!
Totally digging your creativity in your 10 gallon. What an awesome Puffer palace! I am definitely making a note on the plants you use. Appreciate the research that went into that, and sharing them on here. Do you use any liquid ferts for your plants? What else do you do to have such healthy tank pl...

Re: My New Dwarf Puffer "Biotope" Tank!
Very nice tank! Love all the plants. That's how I keep my tanks so I'm totally biased. Looks great! Thanks! I wanted it to be filled to the brim with plants. They are growing pretty fast so I have a bit of a canopy going on at the surface. They haven't seemed to have gotten bored yet either and like...

My New Dwarf Puffer "Biotope" Tank!
Hi everyone! I have been busy and haven't been on for a while, but I wanted to show everyone my DP tank I set up a few months ago. My goal was to make a sort of "biotope" for the little guys, and it is my first planted tank. The tank is a 10 Gallon with an Aquaclear 20 power filter. I used...

Re: WTB -DPs in PA/NJ area
I actually purchased 3 DPs from "That Pet Place" a couple years ago. When I asked they said their DPs come from a breeder in Florida and were not wild caught. I didn't back check this story but, it was good enough for me. Also, I am about 1.5 hours from the store and all 3 fish survived t...

Hi! Guess I should probably do this.
Hello, I've been posting a bit, but I suppose I should introduce myself. I live in the USA, PA to be exact. I've wanted a DP tank for about 2 years and am finally getting to it. I have a 10G planted tank that I am letting get established before I introduce 3 little DP's to their new home. I'll be su...

I somehow have never taken pics of mine, silly me.hadla wrote:Awwww tiny baby plecos!!! Must search for pics now XD
If anyone ever has questions on breeding them, however, I seem to have it down pat since mine were breeding a lot before I moved them to a tank with more aggressive fish.

I also agree with Bristlenose. I have a few. Some of them do tend to hide in caves but the bigger ones are pretty active.
Fair warning, they seem to breed quite readily, I frequently end up with 20 or so babies in my tank.

WTB -DPs in PA/NJ area
Hello, I am starting up a Dwarf Puffer tank and plan to get 3 DP's once my tank is fully cycled. Currently the only place in my area with DP's is That Pet Place in Lancaster PA which is over an hour away. I am more than willing to drive there, I don't like shipping fish, but I know DP's are classifi...
