Re: Meet Hufflepuff

That looks great! I just got 4 pea puffers too and I was wondering what you feed your little guy? (am I allowed to ask that on this thread or do I have to start a new one? Sorry still learning the ins and outs of the forum) Thanks and cool that you have some too. Also feel free to ask any questions...

Meet Hufflepuff

I finally got a pea puffer :) I set up a 5g fulval chi tank for him and quickly found the filter and light it comes with sucks. So I ordered a new light off ebay and bought an aquaclear 20 filter.

Re: My new immaculate puffer

I apologize for not adding where I got the rock. So basically more live rock and to get my skimmer going asap? Also just to double check, was I correct in thinking this is an immaculate puffer? Yes, get more live rock asap. Base rock when seeded with established live rock takes a minimum of 6 month...

Re: My new biocube 29 :) and introducing Zelda :D

The green coral looks more like a torch coral. Very similar to frogspawn but different.

Mushrooms are a good coral that are cheap and fish leave alone

After looking at the pic I thought that the one corner looked empty. So I fixed it :)

Re: Pea puffer tank set up

I got the tank set up today. I had some nice plastic plants and I bought and boiled a piece of Malaysian driftwood. So far I think it looks decent. I think I will add some Java moss to the driftwood and maybe someday I'll swap out the plastic plants for real ones. Tank all clean and ready to go http...

Re: Hello

My dps said to tell you that a 10g would be easier ;) Easier in the sense that a 10g is bigger so it should be more stable then a 5g? The irony of that is that for 95% of the population that would be true, whereas I seem to be the exception to that rule lol. Coming from a SW background I've preache...

Re: Pea puffer tank set up

Thank-you for the light and plant information, this is good to know. I am going to be setting up the 5g as I really like the look of the fulval chi tank. I've read various temptures that DPs should be kept in. Some say 70-74 others say 76-80. Since that is a pretty big difference I was wondering wha...

Thank-you for the link.

What is the best substrate to use for DP's? Sand or small rocks?
