Re: Puffer wanted!
Wondering if by chance there's anyone on here from Toronto, Canada area looking to sell a freshwater puffer? Or any US friends willing to ship perhaps? I'm specifically looking for an Abei, but would also be interested in a Palembang, Congo, perhaps a trio of Red Eyes... As long as their mid sized ...

Re: DP. They are hungry but won't eat!
Hello! We just recently got some pea puffers on Saturday, march.7 . It was a new tank and hadn't been cycled yet, it was set up as an emergency tank for my sisters pleco who was getting bullied by my brothers fahaka. Bought fish on March 7th but when was this tank set up for the pleco? A week? A da...

Re: Powerhead for Water Change - What do you use?
I use an old Penguin model that's obsolete... it's old but keeps on going. I use it to drain my ponds outside in the fall, and from my water barrels into the house in the summer. I'd be lost without it

Are you looking for something that's going to help keep your algae under control, or something that's gorgeous to view when it decides to come out?Arny wrote:Hey guys I want to get a 4inch to 6inch adult size plecy, does anyone know which one I can get?

wink, wink; nudge, nudge. Haha. If you could stear me towards some of these, alleycat, I would be most appreciative. Unfortunately, I'm the only person through all of my social circles that seems to be passionate about fish! So I've been on my own, loaded up with knowledge from the internet! Check ...

Re: Getting reay to take on some DPs!!
I haven't had success finding ammonia at my LFS. I also haven't checked out the article, though. Hopefully there is a store bought variety that's acceptable. My levels haven't started fluctuating, yet though so I think I could switch? I know Ohio is a big state ... but there's clubs in just about e...

Re: New 200 Litre Tank Set-up Plans?
I had mine in with some Gymnogeophagus Balzani and a type of Goodeid ( Ameca Splendens ) and other than losing some fry to the Killies, they pretty much kept to themselves. For the most part the killies stayed at the top area of the tank and pond they were in, and were fun to watch when a fly landed...

Re: New 200 Litre Tank Set-up Plans?
My Humpback Limia were extremely prolific. I started off with a trio, and was over run in short haste. I think your puffer will thank you for some tastey treats. Golden Wonder Killies are fun to keep and as long as they can't fit what their in with in their mouths ( your puffer is safe ) and would m...

Wow ... sorry for the confusion, yes I meant a 40g long, not a common 40g breeder tank. ( I say common as they're on sale for $40 here and everyone's buying them up)
And umm, she's a he

Re: Dwarf Puffer Fish in a 55 gallon
I am considering dwarf puffers for a 55 gallon tank I'll be getting from a friend. It will be heavily planted and completely cycled before the puffers are added. My concern is that even with a fair number of puffers, they won't be noticeable in a tank that large. I'm thinking I could have 2 males a...
