Re: Stars and Stripes not eating *Video Added
After not eating for a month Huey ate this morning! It wasn't an easy process because my 46 QT wasn't fully cycled, so I was doing large daily water changes to keep the ammonia near 0 and then adding 1 additional packet or Maracyn Two to the recommended dosage to try to make up for the lost water. T...

Re: Stars and Stripes not eating *Video Added
I'm currently trying to treat him/her in a 46 gallon QT tank. Someone suggested trying antibiotics on another forum. I began treating with maracyn 2 but the second day I tested ammonia in the QT tank and moved him back to the display. I was doing a fishless cycle and was near week 3 but this puffer ...

Re: Stars and Stripes not eating *Video Added
I'm still not having any luck. It's been over two weeks and he/she is losing weight. Has anyone ever force fed a large puffer? I've been doing my research but any feedback would be appreciated. My puffers breathing has been heavy, I added air stones and will keep doing daily water changes down. Anyt...

Re: Stars and Stripes not eating
Sorry for the delayed response. Thanks for the suggestions so far. My puffer is still showing no interest in eating. I've attached a link to a video on youtube of me attempting to feed him. I've also attached three pictures, not sure if they will be of any help. I'm starting to wonder if he has some...

Re: Curing Constipation
Thanks for the quick and very helpful replies! I'm going to try to offer him some peas right away, I have fed him these before and he loves them. Problem with them is they never really digest and get stuck in my filters.. I guess because they are vegys and that makes it harder? Should I feed him the...

Re: Puffer Foods
Ok so I went to a local Kroger's and I was having trouble deciding on what sea food to buy for my Puffer. I picked up some cooked crab legs but the guy working told me to stay away from them because of what they were cooked in ? He said it might not be safe for my Puffer? I also was going to buy som...

Puffer Foods
Hello Again, I read through the information provided by PufferPunk at the top of the page but still have a few questions. I have been really bad about feeding my puffer healthy, I only feed him silversides, krill, and salad shrimp occasionally. Tonight I fed him a cooked green bean and he loved it. ...
