Thank you for all of your help. Unfortunitly the puffer passed away shortly after my last post. I think that my efforts were just too little too late in this case - I wish I would have stepped in sooner. My brother, who lacks a shred of common sense, has sold his 55 gallon tank and ordered a 125 gal...

He now has his eyes open and looks like the slime is gone - his fins are moving but he is just sitting in place sort of twitching. Would you consider this a sign of improvment or is he getting worse? He looks better aside from the strange twitching.

Advice is greatly appreciated.

Just finished with a 75% water change. The SG is now 1.015. According to the FAQ, I should gradually decrease it to 1.009. The water temp is currently in the low 70s - should I increase it?
