Re: Basement Aquarium Idea, Any Advice Will Be Helpful !
As far as heater efficiency a plumbed inline heater will ensure the best transfer of heat. If I needed that amount of heat pumped I would go with a couple big titanium heaters on an inkbird controller. The inline plumbing can be made relatively inexpensively with some PVC and bulkheads/grommets. I h...

Re: New tank
Puffers are quite adept jumpers. +1 I found my GSP on the floor one morning after changing up my hang on equipment. I didn't trim a new piece of plastic for the back of the lid and he managed to jump out of a 2"X5" hole. Luckily he was still alive. I rinsed him off and burped him once bac...

Refinished dresser. Beefed up the whole thing with 1x3s and 2x4s
I'm done with Photobucket, and having an issue pulling the correct link from the imgur mobile app. Will fix when done with the move.

Re: Moving 40g Long
Thanks PP. Time to move it back. Have a fresh batch of saltwater ~30 gallons this time. Had to use more old tank water than I'd like last time. Still battling with cyano, chemiclean seemed to slow it but not much, so during this breakdown I will be flushing all the old sand. Picked up two bags of ne...

Re: Suddenly Shy/Early Bird DP
Ammonia looks fine, just remember if you don't wait to test after a feeding you can show some levels of ammonia until your colony picks it up and devours it.

Re: New dwarf puffer won't eat
Hi Hadla! Frozen krill is fine but should only be used as treat, its like puffer catnip, and not a main diet staple due to the risk of lockjaw.

Re: How much is too much? Feeding Q
Hi Magpie, Thank you for your post. It is looking very healthy as already noted. If the photo was taken right after feeding I would say you could feed a little more. I recently just had to change my feeding cycle as mine grew out of the pre-portioned blocks I had been using, I would recommend sheets...

Re: Suddenly Shy/Early Bird DP
Hello ST, Way to post on the hospital section like a pro. More people should read and respond to the red as you did, good job! As far as your DP friend its looks very healthy. As far as the discoloration on the plants it appears to be a type of alga i have personally observed when i have had eleveat...

Re: Moving 40g Long
Holding tank is setup, the 20g from the t.v. tank all srcubbed down with two tiny koralias i had kicking around for some flow during the move. Setting up my rodi system to make another 5g to have on hand just in case. I have 20g of fresh saltwater in a brute and will not be flushing any old water un...

Moving 40g Long
Hello All, Been offline for a while. A little update. I have closed down my 20g Zenith T.V. tank, maintenance was too much of a pain and with the small access holes I was slowly ruining the cabinet. It has been tucked away for a restoration down the road. Also closed my 15g column in anticipation fo...

Re: New dwarf puffer won't eat
Stay away from freeze dried foods at all costs. If you have to use them make sure it is fully re-hydrated before feeding, place in a cup of tank water 10 min before feeding. Everything fed should be dosed with vitamins like vitachem. For picky pea puffers you cant go wrong with live blackworms, but ...

Re: Welch's 30g Long Planted.(stalled) and 6.5g bowfront
So in a very bad mood, this tank was doing well since setup, i went away for vacation for a week and had a person in my office feeding the tank. An air bubble stalled the filter. I came back to 60% plant melt, what isnt melted is covered in algea, and half of my CPDs died. Thinking this is a good ti...
